Context

A defined foundation that needed more personality.

Biovène was developing a new range of shower foams aimed at a younger audience.

ME Comunicación already had a clear information architecture and base color direction for the packaging, but the first visual approach needed another creative layer to feel more distinctive, desirable and connected to Gen Z and millennials.

I joined the project as freelance graphic designer to explore how the existing structure could become a more sensory and expressive product family without rebuilding what had already been defined.

Six Biovène whipped shower foam bottles in dessert-inspired flavors, arranged in a row.

challenge

Different enough to be desirable. Consistent enough to feel like one range.

The challenge was not simply to decorate twelve different cans.

Each reference needed enough personality to stand on its own, while sharing a visual logic strong enough to make the complete collection immediately recognizable.

At the same time, the concept had to suggest texture, pleasure and indulgence without making a cosmetic product look literally like food.

PRODUCTION CONSTRAINTS

MAX. 4 INKS

The printing process restricted the number of colors available for each design.

FIXED ARCHITECTURE

The existing information hierarchy had to remain essentially unchanged.

12 REFERENCES

The system needed enough variation to differentiate an expanding range.

PRODUCTION FILES

Base artwork contained information in English and Chinese, requiring careful editing before manufacturing.

CREATIVE DIRECTION

From shower foam to gourmand experience.

I looked at the product less as a conventional cosmetic container and more as a small sensory experience.

The creative direction was built around desserts, creamy textures and gourmand ingredients.

Instead of using the same decoration across the entire collection, each fragrance was paired with its own dessert-inspired visual world, allowing color, ingredients and illustration to differentiate the references while keeping the collection coherent.

The System

One visual system. Twelve different personalities.

The final direction was designed as a range system rather than twelve isolated packages.

A shared architecture keeps the collection recognizable, while dessert references, ingredients, illustration and color give each product its own identity.

01 — SHARED STRUCTURE

Consistent information architecture and composition across the range.

02 — COLOR

Pastel territories connected to each fragrance and product name.

03 — GOURMAND REFERENCES

A different dessert concept gives each reference its own personality.

04 — INGREDIENTS & ILLUSTRATION

Graphic elements reinforce flavor, texture and sensoriality.

05 — CONTROLLED VARIATION

Enough difference to create discovery, without breaking collection recognition.

EXPLORATION & ITERATION

The first answer was not the final answer.

The system emerged through several creative routes, composition tests and visual iterations.

Desserts, backgrounds, colors, ingredients and graphic treatments were progressively refined through feedback from ME Comunicación and the client.

The fourth creative direction became the approved route and was then expanded across the complete range of twelve products.

FROM SYSTEM TO PRODUCTION

Designed to survive outside the mockup.

Once the visual direction was approved, the system was adapted to all twelve references and prepared for manufacturing.

Each artwork was reviewed within the printing constraints, maintaining visual consistency while protecting the information and production requirements of the original files.

The final deliverables included presentation mockups, editable production artwork and flat PDF files for every package.

RESULT

12 references. One manufactured collection.

The approved system was adapted to the complete range of twelve shower foams and moved into production.

The final collection combines individual recognition with a shared visual language, giving Biovène a more sensory and expressive packaging direction while remaining coherent as one commercial range.

WHAT I TOOK FROM IT

This project reinforced something I now bring to many different disciplines:

designing one strong piece is not the same as designing a system.

The real challenge was creating enough variation for twelve products to feel desirable individually, while defining enough structure for them to behave as one collection.

BUILDING A PRODUCT RANGE?

Let's create a visual system that can differentiate every reference without losing the strength of the collection.
